The barb male thread tee branches a drip lateral while linking the branch to a threaded outlet, with two barb ends for the tube run and one male-thread leg for a valve, filter or threaded accessory.
It is a useful fitting where a lateral has to be tapped to feed a control valve, a fertigation injector or a downstream sub-zone, and it removes the need for a separate adaptor at the take-off. The configuration is common on PE drip laterals in vegetable plots, orchards and greenhouse irrigation lines.
