China's Reliable Drip Tape Manufacturer You Can Count On

Drip tape delivers water precisely at the root zone — eliminating the evaporation and runoff losses that overhead systems accept as a given. Our tape is produced to tight wall-thickness tolerances and emitter spacing consistency, the two variables that most determine whether a field irrigates evenly from header to tail end.

Whether you're running a 2-hectare greenhouse or a 500-hectare field operation, the sizing principles and product specifications remain the same.

overview

What Is Drip Tape?

Drip tape is a thin-wall polyethylene tube — typically 5–8 mil wall thickness — with molded emitters at fixed intervals along the lay-flat body. Each emitter is a short turbulent-flow labyrinth: water enters under line pressure, slows through the channel, and exits at a rated discharge that stays consistent across a wide operating pressure range.

Installed on the soil surface or buried at shallow depth, the wetted zone stays confined to the crop row. This limits evaporation and suppresses inter-row weed germination — two outcomes no overhead or furrow system can achieve without additional management inputs.

Farmers have been switching to drip tape because it cuts labor, reduces pump load, and delivers measurably better water distribution across long field runs.

Where Drip Tape Is Used

The low-pressure, root-zone delivery advantage applies equally from backyard market gardens to large-scale commercial field operations. Our tape is rated for fluctuating pressure, UV exposure, and direct contact with fertilizer solutions.

product features

Key Features of Our Drip Tape

Turbulent-flow emitter design maintains discharge uniformity ±5% across operating pressure range
Self-flushing outlet geometry reduces clogging risk from suspended solids under normal filtration
Flexible lay-flat construction unrolls cleanly at field temperatures without kinking or memory coiling
Rated operating pressure from 0.04–0.15 MPa — compatible with low-head gravity-fed systems
UV-stabilized LLDPE resin retains tensile strength and emitter geometry through multi-season exposure
Compatible with standard fertigation systems — labyrinth geometry resists fertilizer salt crystallization
system sizing

How to Size Your Drip Tape System

Three calculations — run in sequence — determine whether your water supply can support your planned layout without zoning.

1

Measure Your Source Flow Rate

Fill a 5-gallon bucket at the irrigation connection point and record the fill time in seconds. This gives your available GPM.

(60 ÷ fill seconds) × 5 = GPM
15 sec to fill → (60 ÷ 15) × 5 = 20 GPM
2

Calculate Total Drip Tape Footage

Allow one tape line per 12″ of bed width. A 30″ bed requires 2–3 lines depending on soil texture and crop density.

Beds × lines per bed × bed length (ft)
8 beds × 3 lines × 100 ft = 2,400 ft total
3

Confirm Supply Meets Demand

Multiply total footage by the tape's rated flow. If this exceeds your available GPM, zone the system.

(total ft ÷ 100) × rated GPM / 100 ft
2,400 ft at 8″ spacing, 10 psi:
(2,400 ÷ 100) × 0.6 = 14.4 GPM required
SpacingPressureGPM / 100 ft
8″10 psi0.6 GPM
12″10 psi0.4 GPM
Need to zone your system? If required GPM exceeds your source, divide the area into zones each within your available flow rate. Run zones sequentially on a timer or manual valve schedule.
