Fertilizer Injectors for Drip and Sprinkler Systems

A fertigation system runs fertilizer through your existing irrigation lines. Water carries the nutrient solution directly to the root zone — no separate application step, no hand-mixing, no timing mismatch between watering and feeding.

The same injector can handle soluble fertilizers, wetting agents, pH adjusters, and some pesticide formulations, depending on the product type and dilution ratio. We manufacture venturi injectors and proportional injectors in-house and supply projects from small greenhouse operations to large field installations.

how it works

Fertigation Basics

A fertigation injector sits on the mainline between your water source and the irrigation system. As water flows through, the injector draws concentrated fertilizer solution from a tank and mixes it into the flow at a set ratio — typically 1:100 to 1:500 depending on the injector type and crop requirement.

Venturi injectors work without electricity: the pressure differential across the venturi body creates suction that pulls the concentrate. Proportional injectors are water-driven and maintain a consistent dose ratio regardless of flow variation. Both types work with drip lines, drip tape, and micro sprinkler systems.

One thing worth knowing upfront: injector compatibility with your water pressure and flow rate matters. An injector sized for a 1″ mainline behaves differently on a 2″ line. If you're unsure which type fits your setup, send us your system specs.

setup steps

How a System Goes Together

1
Install the injector on the mainline. Inline venturi or proportional unit fits between the water source and the field distribution.
2
Connect the concentrate tank. A small fertilizer tank or bucket holds the stock solution. The injector's suction line draws from it during irrigation.
3
Set the injection ratio. Proportional injectors have a fixed ratio; venturi flow can be adjusted by throttling the bypass valve.
4
Flush after each fertigation cycle. Run clean water for several minutes at the end to clear fertilizer residue from the lines and emitters.

Fertigation Injectors

Three injector types covering the main use cases — from a simple venturi body for custom integrations to a proportional injector for precise, flow-independent dosing on larger systems.

Proportional Fertilizer Injector
Fertigation Injector
Proportional Fertilizer Injector
Water-driven piston injector that maintains a fixed concentrate-to-water ratio independent of flow rate variation. The dose stays consistent whether the system is running at half capacity or full. Good fit for commercial greenhouses and operations where fertilizer concentration needs to be tightly controlled.

Assembled Venturi Injector Set
Fertigation Injector
Assembled Venturi Injector Set
Pre-assembled unit with bypass valves and fittings included. Ready to install on an existing mainline — no additional fittings required in most cases. The bypass valve lets you adjust suction rate by controlling the pressure differential across the venturi body. Works without electricity.

Venturi Fertilizer Injector
Fertigation Injector
Venturi Fertilizer Injector
The injector body on its own — no pre-assembled bypass fittings. Used when integrating into a custom layout or replacing just the venturi element in an existing setup. Compatible with standard drip and sprinkler mainlines. Requires a minimum pressure differential of around 20–30% across the inlet and outlet to generate suction.

selection guide

What to Check Before Specifying an Injector

The wrong injector for the pressure and flow conditions is more common than it should be. These are the variables that actually determine whether the system works as expected.

01
Operating Pressure at the Injection Point
Venturi injectors need a pressure differential — typically 20–30% between inlet and outlet — to generate suction. If line pressure is too low or too consistent, the venturi won't draw. Measure actual pressure at the install point, not at the pump outlet.
02
Flow Rate and Injector Sizing
Injectors are rated for a flow range. Outside that range, dosing accuracy drops. A 1″ injector on a 2″ mainline running at high flow will under-dose. Match injector capacity to actual system flow, not peak pump output.
03
Injection Ratio Required
Proportional injectors hold a fixed ratio (e.g., 1:100) regardless of flow. Venturi injectors are adjustable but less consistent at part-flow. If your crop program requires tight EC control, a proportional unit is easier to manage reliably.
04
Fertilizer Compatibility
Most injectors handle standard water-soluble fertilizers. Some formulations — high-calcium concentrates, certain chelates — can react with injector components or with other concentrated nutrients in the tank. Mix compatibility should be confirmed before injecting.
05
Filtration Upstream of the Injector
The injector suction line has a small opening. Sediment in the concentrate tank or in the mainline water will clog it. A simple screen filter on the suction inlet is standard practice. Without one, clogging is a matter of when, not if.
06
Flushing After Each Cycle
Fertilizer left in drip lines between irrigation cycles concentrates as the water evaporates and can precipitate inside emitters. A flush of several minutes with clean water at the end of each fertigation run avoids most of this. It's not optional — it's part of the system design.
